Business school community service programs are designed to both keep business students in touch with their community and allow them to gain important practical experience at the same time.
Community service at business schools may be voluntary, or it may be a mandatory part of a graduate degree. Options for community service are varied and include, but are not limited to: taking unpaid or minimally paying positions at non-profit or government aid organizations; offering services to sectors of the community in need (for example, free tax services to senior citizens); or participating in public works projects designed to aid those in need.
Business school community service therefore benefits the students and the wider community.
