The MSc (Master of Science) in Business Administration degree is similar to the MBA, but with a more academic rather than practical application focus. Where the MBA is concerned with the actual application of the degree in the business world, the MSc in Business Administration is concerned with preparing the student to contribute to the business research community.
There may be specializations available within the broader MSc in Business Administration, such as Finance, Management Information Systems, or Management Science. Programs include course-work, and all MSc in Business Administration programs will require a thesis and defense or equivalent research paper publication.
